The smartPBX telephone system service is offered as an integral part of the Small Office packages and operates via an SIP protocol connection to Interconnect’s virtual PBX platform*. Interconnect’s telephony service is provided through the subscriber’s existing infrastructure. The minimum required Internet bandwidth is 64 Kbps per device. In practice, this means that with a stable and high-quality connection, the service can even operate through mobile data using an LTE router. To ensure proper operation, we recommend a network site inspection by Interconnect’s specialized technical staff.
* smartPBX is a VOIP telephony platform based on the SIP protocol, consisting of software installed on Interconnect’s proprietary server network.
** 64 Kbps equals approximately 0.06 Mbps and is based on the PCMA (G.711a) codec.
